(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) and Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) initiative takes the form of lectures and is designed to instill discipline and patience among cabbies who, transport bosses say, are accused by passengers of lacking decorum.
“We are using the teachings of the Holy Quran to help touch their inner conscience through meditation on the verses related to humanity,” said Yousef Al Ali, CEO of DTC.
“This will eventually make them know they are responsible for any of their actions and will also improve their relations with their surroundings.”
“This programme is extended to all employees regardless of their faith because we believe the teachings of the Holy Quran will have a great impact on their attitudes and general lifestyle.”
He added: “These lectures will challenge them to properly assess themselves to trigger voluntary change in their behaviour.”
